GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR THE PARTICIPANTS

  • No Registration charges.

  • All the events are common for both UG and PG courses.

  • Choose the events relevant to your department, however you can form a team that comprises of any department students.

  • READ THE RULES OF THE EVENTS CAREFULLY. Violation of the rules of the event will disqualify your participation in the event without any dispute.

  • You can avoid time conflicts for the simultaneous events by carefully choosing your event for participation. Clashes that may occur due to simultaneous participation would make you lose the opportunity of participation in any one event. It is your preference to choose the events.

  • Your team should be punctual before the event commences.

  • The Judgement by the event judges will be the final and no discussion will be entertained about the results declared by the event judges.

  • Programme Coordinator holds every right to take any decision on unfamiliar situations.

  • Lunch will be provided for all & Participation certificates will be given for all.

  • Register your team well ahead the Registration deadline specified in the rules of the events.

  • Participation preference will be given to the team, which has registered earlier.

  • You must hold your ID card on the day of the event, otherwise entry will be restricted.

  • YOU HAVE TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENTS ON OR BEFORE 14.10.2016. ON THE SPOT REGISTRATION IS NOT ALLOWED STRICTLY.

 

 

RULES FOR THE EVENTS  (ON THE STAGE EVENTS)

 

1. QUIZ 

 

  • Maximum of 3 teams per college can register for Prelims.

  • Team size: 2

  • Students from any department can participate.

  • The Quiz will cover general knowledge, IQ, reasoning and current affairs. 

  • Register your team on or before 14.10.2016. After this date NO registration will be entertained at any cost.

  • In case of registration of more than three teams from different departments of your college, we will communicate between the registered teams thereby you can decide among yourselves. Ultimately, your college is responsible for resolving the issues related to the registration of more than three teams by different departments.

  • Prelims will be conducted on 21.10.2016 at 10:00 am.

  • Top 5 teams will be finalized for onstage Quiz.

2. DRAMATICS 

 

  • ONLY ONE TEAM PER COLLEGE.

  • Team size: Maximum of 8

  • Students from any department can participate.

  • YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY THEME BASED ON ANY SOCIAL ISSUES. Drama should be presented in ENGLISH.

  • Time limit – Maximum of 8 minutes. At any cost no relaxation in the time limit.

  • Register your team on or before 14.10.2016. After this date NO registration will be entertained at any cost.

  • In case of registration of more than one team from different departments of your college, we will communicate between the registered teams thereby you can decide among yourselves. Ultimately, your college is responsible for resolving the issues related to the registration of more than one team by different departments.

3. AD SHOOT 

 

  • Maximum of 3 teams from a college.

  • Students from any department can participate.

  • Shoot an Advertisement for ANY PRODUCT of your choice.

  • Your advertisement output should be a VIDEO.

  • Your advertisement should be 40 to 90 SECONDS. 

  • Register your team on or before 14.10.2016. After this date NO registration will be entertained at any cost.

  • Whatsapp your advertisement to 9443459242 (or) Upload your advertisement in Google Drive and share it to popefete16@gmail.com on or before 19.10.2016.

  • You can work as a team, but only one person should represent the team on 21.10.2016.

4. DANCE 

 

  • ONLY ONE TEAM PER COLLEGE.

  • Students from any department can participate.

  • Team size: Maximum of 8

  • Time limit – Maximum of 6 mins. At any cost no relaxation in the time limit.

  • Register your team on or before 14.10.2016. After this date NO registration will be entertained at any cost.

  • In case of registration of more than one team from different departments of your college, we will communicate between the registered teams thereby you can decide among yourselves. Ultimately, your college is responsible for resolving the issues related to the registration of more than one team by different departments.

  • You have to send your audio track to popefete16@gmail.com on or before 19.10.2016.

  • Strictly avoid vulgarity in the songs, costumes and dance movements.

  • You could avoid the combination of girls and boys in a group dance.

OFF THE STAGE EVENTS

 

1. ESSAY WRITING IN ENGLISH

 

  • Maximum of 3 teams from a college.

  • Students from any department can participate.

  • Register on or before 14.10.2016. After this date NO registration will be entertained at any cost.

  • The topic will be given to you on 21.10.2016 at 10:00 am.

  • Your essay should be about 200 words and Time limit is 60 minutes.

2. POEM COMPOSING (ENGLISH / TAMIL)

 

  • Maximum of 3 teams from a college.

  • Students from any department can participate.

  • The topic will be given to you on 21.10.2016 at 10:00 am;

  • The poem should be about 50 lines.

  • Time limit is 45 minutes.

3. WEB DESIGNING 

 

  • Maximum of 3 teams from a college.

  • Students of Computer Science Department alone can participate.

  • Team size: Maximum of 2

  • Web Development Tools: Dreamweaver MX, Flash MX, and Photoshop. Use of other tools is NOT allowed.

  • PRELIMS:

               o   Design a Home page for your college. Don’t use the template from the Internet. Design should be original.

               o   Send the designed page to popefete16@gmail.com on or before 16.10.2016.

               o   6 teams will be selected for the finals from the prelims.

  • The selected teams will be posted at http://pjpcollege.wixsite.com/popefete16 on 18.10.2016.

  • FINALS ON 21.10.2016:

    • Theme for the web template will be given to you 15 minutes before the commencement of the contest.

    • Dreamweaver MX, Flash MX, and Photoshop will be available.

    • Images and text will be provided by the event in-charge.

    • Duration of the contest is 60 Minutes.

4. PHOTO SHOOT

 

  • Students from any department can participate.

  • Register on or before 14.10.2016. After this date NO registration will be entertained at any cost.

  • Theme will be given to you on 15.10.2016 at 10:00 AM. It will be intimated to your mobile.

  • You can use any Camera / Mobile.

  • To prove the originality, you have to take a SELFIE where you picture the theme.

  • Only one Photo should be sent for the contest along with the Selfie snap.

  • Send your Theme photo + Selfie to popefete16@gmail.com on or before 08:00 PM on 18.10.2016. Photographs received after this time and date will not be considered at any cost.

  • We will intimate the top 15 contestants qualifying for the final contest. Only those persons can come to the event on 21.10.2016.

5. POSTER DESIGN

 

  • Maximum of 3 teams from a college.

  • Students from any department can participate.

  • Theme for the Poster design will be given to you on 21.10.2016 at 10:00 am. 

  • Time limit is 30 Minutes.

  • Chart alone will be given by the college and you are requested to bring the drawing materials.

1. MIMICRY

 

  • Maximum of 3 teams from a college.

  • Students from any department can participate.

  • Team size: Maximum of 2

  • Register on or before 14.10.2016. After this date NO registration will be entertained at any cost.

  • Time limit – Maximum of 5 minutes. At any cost no relaxation in the time limit.

  • Vulgarity and double meaning dialogues to be strictly avoided as you will be staging your performance in front of 1000 female students.
